About This Piece

Roses are among the most recognizable floral motifs in Romanian and Moldovan folk art, appearing on countless traditional carpets, woven textiles, and embroideries. This large-scale artwork celebrates that enduring tradition through a bold composition of deep blue roses.

This is one of my very first large-scale embroidery pieces. Unlike my newer works, it was stitched on construction mesh, giving it a distinctive character and marking the beginning of my journey into creating oversized cross-stitch wall art. Today, that choice gives the piece a charm and story of its own.

Each piece is stitched entirely by hand using acrylic yarn, creating a textured artwork that combines traditional inspiration with contemporary interior décor.
