This modern floral mosaic pattern is inspired by a fragment of a mosaic found on an old bus shelter in a village in Moldova. Across the country, many of these unique mosaic bus stops, once vibrant landmarks of local craftsmanship and artistic expression, are gradually being demolished and replaced with plain, standardized structures.
The idea for this design was inspired by the work of local activists who document and advocate for the preservation of these remarkable mosaics (Instagram: @mosaics_of_moldova). Through this collection, I hope to celebrate and preserve a small part of that visual heritage.
